Meet the Staff: Summer 2019

Matt Stawinski:

Matt has been a coach in our program for 4 years, and loves coming back to work other playgrounds and other activities. He is a sophomore at the University of Michigan, enjoys playing the guitar, and is passionate about business. His favorite aspect of the program is that the coaches have the opportunity to positively impact the kids.


Sebastian Tavalieri :

Sebastian has been a coach for Fraser Parks and Recreation for 5 years. His favorite part about recreation is helping kids find out the passion in sports, while having fun. He is currently going into his 4th year in college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Wayne State. When he is not working he enjoys being in the outdoors and fishing.


Ryan Querro:

Ryan has been a coach for Fraser Parks and Recreation for 2 years. His favorite part about working here is seeing the kids develop skills that they can use later in their life. He is currently going to Hope college in search of a nursing degree. When not working, Ryan enjoys golfing and going to Detroit Tigers games.


Cassidy Victor:

This summer will be Cassidy’s second year as a coach at Fraser Parks and Recreation. She is currently on the varsity volleyball team at Fraser High School, so she enjoys that she has the ability to spread her love for the sport to other kids. Being able to inspire kids and help them have fun is something that Cassidy truly enjoys. She looks forward to having a positive impact on the kids this summer.


Gladys Oster:

Gladys is returning for her 3rd year as a coach for Fraser Parks and Recreation. When she was younger, she participated in many recreational programs herself including basketball, t-ball, and flag football. Her favorite part about coaching is seeing the kids improve over the course of the summer. Gladys will be a sophomore at Hillsdale College where she is studying psychology and frequently volunteers in special education classrooms. When she’s not at the playgrounds, she’s running to prepare for the Detroit half marathon this fall.


Casey Spencer:

Casey has been a coach for Fraser Parks and Recreation for 5 years now. Her favorite part about working here is seeing the kids make new friends and connections, as well as seeing how happy they get when they find a sport they love. Casey goes to Wayne State University and studies bilingual education and is fluent in Spanish! In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports with her friends and being outside, as well as studying to get prepared for the following school year. She played basketball and softball her whole life and even played softball for Macomb Community College and she loves coaching baseball!


Nick East :

Nick is a senior at Fraser High School. He has played baseball for the past 12 years of his life. Although this is his first season coaching, he has participated in recreational sports throughout his entire life, so this can ensure experience with coaching and teamwork. To add, Nick has had plenty of experience with children as he is the oldest of his cousins in his family, and he enjoys interacting with them when he gets to see them. Nick spends his free time hanging with friends, playing video games, listening to music, and playing baseball.


Jordyn Scheuer :

Jordyn has been coaching for Fraser Parks and Recreation for 3 years now. She is currently attending Macomb Community College and plans to apply for their veterinary technician program. She really enjoys playing volleyball, as she played on her high school team and a couple of travel teams. She first got involved with playing volleyball by signing up for the Fraser Parks and Recreation program. She really looks forward to making this summer a special one for all the children.


Marcella Miller:

This is Marcella’s first year working with Fraser Parks and Recreation, but she has always volunteered with programs in high school, and just recently started with the city. She is currently working on getting her degree in social work. She just finished her first year at Macomb and plans on finishing at Oakland. She works at the city library, and when I am not working I love to read.


Sidney Rozzisi:

Sidney has coached for 3 years at Fraser Parks and Recreation. She loves working with kids and is going to Central Michigan University to study elementary education. She has 3 little brothers and loved to make them flip around because she was a cheerleader for 12 years.


Mary Ruth Oster:

Mary has worked the summer Fraser Parks and Recreation program for one year now. Her favorite part of the programs is being able to have fun with all the kids. She will be a senior at Bishop Foley High School this fall where she does soccer basketball, track, and cross country. When she isn’t constantly busy with clubs and sports, Mary loves to take photos and spend time with her family.

LeAnna Garbula:

LeAnna Garbula has been a coach for Fraser Parks and Recreation for 4 years. Her favorite part about recreation is helping the kids grow in their skills and working as a team while having fun. She attends Albion College, where she is working on degrees in Psychology and Kinesiology. She also has a love for dogs and nature.


Brianna Kopp:

Brianna Kopp plays volleyball for the 16 national team for Great Lakes Volleyball Club, and has been playing volleyball for 5 years. Sports she’s played in the past are soccer, softball, basketball, and dance. Her hobbies are painting and skateboarding, and attends Stevenson high school. She also loves socializing, making people laugh, and animals.

Isaac Plouff:

Isaac has been a coach for Fraser Recreation for 2 years. He loves working with the kids and just having a good time with them playing games or sports. He is going to be a junior at Fraser High School. In his free time he loves to play baseball or basketball with friends.


Ashley Wybo:

Ashley Wybo has been working for Fraser Parks and Recreation for 4 years. She coachs volleyball and has been playing volleyball for 8 years. One of her favorite parts of coaching is seeing how the kids learn and grow while they work together as a team. Ashley is going to Central Michigan University to get her bachelors in Special Education.
