Canasta-Mondays at 1pm

Canasta is one of the oldest card games around today. I'm sure you will say you played this years ago as a child. There are many versions of Canasta from all over the world. We will be offering the AMERICAN version (as opposed to the traditional version). Come on in and try it out. Feel free to sit in on a game. Wii Games

Every Wednesday at 10am

This game is great to help improve hand-eye coordination and movement, and can be done while seated. This drop-in program is lots of fun! Drop in fee applies.

Join us for a good old game of Rummikub. It’s just like Rummy but shaped like domino’s! Drop in fee applies.


Mexican Train

Wednesdays at 11 am. This twist on the classic Domino game is great fun! Everyone is invited to play in this drop-in program. Don’t know how to play? No worries! We’ll teach you this fun game! Drop in fee applies.

Scarlet Ladies of Fraser

The Scarlet Ladies meet at the Fraser Activities Center on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for conversations, friendship, lunches and outings-whatever we want to do!  You must be a member of the Fraser Activity Center and $25 if you’re a Fraser resident & $35 if you reside outside of Fraser.  Our only rules are to wear purple and a RED hat and have fun!  For more info on the Scarlet Ladies, Call Gail at (586) 731-2996.

Starting Friday, October 4th @ 11am. This group will meet every Friday in the meeting room.
Join us for instruction on how to crochet. If you have experience, please join us. We have all of the materials that we will need. Please sign up so we know how many to prepare for.

Skies of Winter Painting Party by On the Gogh Studio

Wednesday, November 13th from 6 pm – 8 pm
Join us for this fun-filled painting class, where you will follow step-by-step instructions to create a beautiful snowy winter scene, created by YOU! This class is fun and easy to follow along with, so it’s perfect for every skill level. Sign up today and find your inner “Gogh”!  This class is for 50+ and your welcome to bring a guest participant. Wreath Making Workshop

Join us for a wreath making workshop. We will have everything from Pinecones to flowers to complete your front door wreath. We have supplies for fall and also Christmas. If you would like a special touch to your wreath, your more than welcome to bring in items to complete your wreath. Cost is $10 Members and $14 Non-Members. Please register by Nov. 15th.

Candy & No Bake Cookie Club

Tues., Dec. 3rd @ 11 am

We will create chocolate Christmas candy and no bake cookies while spending time together sharing our fondest Christmas memories and go home with some treats. Cost is $14 Members and $18 non-members.

Glass Painting Party

Tuesday, December 17th from 6 pm – 7:30 pm
Painting isn’t just for canvases! Raise a glass to the holiday season, and join us in creating beautiful snowman wine glasses or coffee mugs! Each participant will receive step-by-step instructions to create two permanent & washable wine glasses, or one heavy duty mug, hand painted by you! They would make a great gift. Cost is $23 for Members and $25 for Non-Members. Please register by Dec. 10th.

Celebrate the holidays with your friends at the Fraser Activity Center! We will have a full catered holiday meal complete with dessert and drink, a special gift for those in attendance and a lovely choir performance by the award winning Fraser Singers that is sure to put a smile on your face! Wheel of Fortune – Fraser edition

Tuesday, January 21st  doors at 12 pm
Put your knowledge to the test with our live interactive Wheel of Fortune gameshow! We’ll have a light lunch and play Wheel of Fortune complete with prizes. We invite everyone to participate! Our first Wheel of Fortune was a hit! Cost is $12 members, $15 non-members. Registration deadline is one week prior to event.

Seniors 50+ Pickleball

Mon., Tues., Thurs. Friday @ 9am and Tues. from 6-9 starting in October.

This fun program is co-ed drop-in and seniors from every community are welcome to play at our Activity Center. You’re welcome to try us out up to three times, after that we ask that you become a Member of our center. Drop-in fee: $1 member. Starting in October we will have Tuesday night Pickleball from 6-9pm.

Intro to Pickleball (50 +)

Tuesdays, January 7th & 14th 

We know that you’ve been hearing about it! Come out and try it! We will be hosting a two-week class from 6pm – 7pm on Tuesday, January 7th and 14th. The best way to explain this sport is that you use a paddle the size of a racket ball racket, a ball like a whiffle ball and a net like tennis. The court is a lot smaller than a tennis court. According to Barney McCallum (creators of the game), it was officially named after the Pritchards’ dog Pickles, who would chase the ball and run off with it. Cost is $7 Members and $10 Non-Members. Give us a call to sign up and you can pay on the first day of class.


Volleyball will resume Wednesday, October 16th @ 10 am. Join us for Co-ed Volleyball. You’re welcome to try us out up to three times, after that we ask that you become a member of our center. Drop in fee: $1.

Exercise Club

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am – Richard Simmons Silver Foxes low impact exercise. Drop-in Fee Applies.

Chair Yoga

Tuesdays at 11 am, 6 week sessions starting November 5th and Jan. 6th
Chair yoga focuses on increasing movement and using a chair assures that people of all abilities are able to participate. Cost for 6 sessions is $26 members, $32 non-members.

Beginners and Intermediate Tai Chi with Instructor John Marchowitz

Mondays, 5 week sessions starting, November 25th, January 13th, & February 24th  We are closed on February 17th for Presidents Day

Beginners at 1pm, Intermediate at 2pm

Find your Zen with this beginning Tai Chi Class with an option to use chair. Tai Chi exercises help to rejuvenate, heal, energize and de-stress; and help those with arthritis, joint pain, back pain and more. Cost for 5-week session is $26 for Members, $32 for Non-Members. Drop in fee is $7.

Mat Yoga

Mondays at 6 pm, 7 week sessions Starting, January 13th.

Yoga helps calm the mind, body, and spirit and also has many health benefits!  Our 50+ up yoga class is taught by the talented Jasmin! From beginners to advance students, Jasmin’s experience with many different abilities allows her to modify these poses so everyone can do it! Cost for 7-week session is $65 Member, $75 Non-Member.

Line Dancing/Exercise Class

Wednesdays from 1:00-2:00pm

Let’s get the week started with a little fun and exercise! Join us for line dancing, led by Carol Pakizer who has 25 years of experience & fun factor! Cost is $15 Members and $20 Non-Members for the full 4-week class or $6.00 drop in fee per week. This is an ongoing class that can be registered for monthly. Sign up today!

Toenail Trimming by Hosey Foot & Ankle Center

Wed, January 8th from 9 - 10:30am

Doctors from Hosey Foot & Ankle Center will be coming in to do nail trimmings. There is no charge for this service, however proper paperwork is to be completed to bill your insurance company. Please register by by the Friday before event.

Stretch & Weights Class

Thursdays at 2:30pm, 6 week sessions starting January 16th

This 50 minute class will focus on stretching the body and building strength with gentle movements and 1-4 lb. hand weights. Each class will end with a cool down. Class may have some standing, however the class can also be performed while seated in the chair. Suitable for all levels of fitness. Cost for 6 sessions is $26 members, $32 non-members or a drop in fee of $7 for individual classes.


Greektown Casino

First Monday of the Month from 9:30am – 3pm  December 2nd
Try out your luck and have a great daytrip with friends! Leave the driving to us, and as an extra benefit you also receive $15 in bonus play & $5 in food vouchers! Cost is $18 for Members, $20 for Non-members. Registration deadline is one week before program date.

Get out and try something new! Our bus will take us to a new restaurant every month. Cost varies depending on location we are traveling to. Cost is for transportation; lunch is on your own. Menus will be available at the Center upon request

Zehnder’s – “Rockin’ Oldies Show

The Beach Party Boys reproduce the authentic look, vocal harmony and instrumentation of the Beach Boys themselves. This is a fun and interactive show where you will find yourself singing along to songs like Surfin’ USA, Barbara Ann, Fun Fun Fun and Good Vibrations. Cost includes Transportation, Meal, tax, tip and entertainment. This show takes place in the beautiful Main Dining Room of Zehnder’s Restaurant. Cost is $66 Members and $74 Non-Members.


Tech Assistance Tuesdays

Tuesdays between 1pm and 4pm (Must Pre-Register)
Could you use some assistance with your new phone, tablet or laptop? Perhaps you just need to brush up on how to use your email or Facebook account. Bring your questions as you meet one-on-one with a volunteer in this FREE program. Must register one week in advance, cancellations must be at least 24 hours in advance to respect the volunteer assistant’s time. Please note the topic you would like assistance with at time of registration. Interested in volunteering? Call the office or email to be put on the volunteer call list!

Bridge Class Instruction

Have you ever wanted to know how to play Bridge, or want to improve your game? Bridge Instructor Chet will be holding classes to pass on this great game! Meetings will be on Wednesdays at 2 pm and cost $30 for a six-week class. Class start date to be determined, a minimum of 6 interested persons are needed to start the class so sign up on the waitlist at the Senior office!

Healthy Living Class

Thursday, January 9th 
Healthy Living can be broken down to 3 major groups: Movement, Healthy Eating and Relaxation. In this 90-minute presentation, Jasmin will cover these three topics to help you live your best life!
She will also take you through a mini chair yoga practice as well as a mini introduction to a new class we will offer. "Stretch & Weights"! Each participant will get their own copy of "Exercise & Physical Activity" as well as some healthy recipes. Light snacks will be served.  Please RSVP as this FREE event is limited to 30 people.
